WE LOOKED AT THE TWIN SPAR CHASSIS AND SAW A BRAND-NEW BEARCAT.


The all-new Bearcat is the most comfortable, rideable Bearcat yet. This should come as no surprise given that it's built on the Twin Spar chassis. The standard model features the FasTrack Suspension, the 15-inch x 144-inch track, adjustable ski stance, hydraulic disc brake, reverse, the AWS VII front suspension and a new 8"-wide Bearcat ski for better flotation. There are three Bearcats in the '09 lineup, each as tempting as the next. First up, the value-packed fan-cooled Bearcat 570. In keeping with Bearcat tradition there's also an XT model. The Bearcat 570 XT comes with more standard equipment, including the 20-inch x 156-inch track with articulating suspension. If you have your heart set on a 4-stroke Bearcat check out the Bearcat Z1 XT. This thing of beauty is a blend of Twin Spar chassis, 4-stroke Z1 technology and legendary Bearcat utility. ARTICULATING SLIDE-RAIL REAR SUSPENSION: The skid frame gives you the option to choose and articulating or straight-rail frame setup. Loosen the springs for full articulating or tighten to create a straight-rail suspension. The straight-rail setup is just what your need for better traction when hauling or towing.


4 STROKE Z1 ENGINE: This is a 1056cc 4-Stroke twin with Electronic Fuel Injection. This 2-cylinder power plant produces awesome power and performance.


TWIN SPAR CHASSIS: Designed and manufactured to be incredibly rigid, the Twin Spar chassis employs two box-aluminum spars triangulated with the steering supports and tunnel spars. Self-piercing rivet construction ensures joint rigidity and long-lasting strength. This year the Twin Spar chassis is "tipped" to place you in the perfect neutral riding position and lower the center of gravity. In concert with a taller seat and handlebar location, this position maximizes comfort and control in all riding conditions.


ACT DIAMOND DIRECT DRIVE W/REVERSE: The tough-as-nails ACT™ Diamond Direct Drive™ planetary gear case allows lower track speed at clutch engagement without sacrificing top speed. This means a smooth ride from start to finish. Plus you get the added convenience of reverse with a push of the button.


2-UP DETACHABLE SEAT: The adjustable backrest and handholds are a passenger's best friend. For extended solo rides, remove the passenger seat and you'll find enough room to pack a week's worth of supplies.


8" SKIS: Bearcats come standard with 8" wide skis for better flotation.


156 X 20 X 1.25" TRACK: The Bearcat XT model comes standard with 156 x 20 x 1.25" wide tracks for increased flotation and traction.
